About
Our Work
Stranger is an independent design studio skilled in combining graphic, digital and interactive media. Our business is shaped to give you direct contact with creative talent through our personal approach. We are friendly and approachable, listening carefully to understand and interpret your needs.
At Stranger we pride ourselves in creating exceptional solutions to any creative brief. We believe it is essential to include you (as the client) in the process. This results in a more effective, imaginative and higher quality solution. All the work we produce is designed specifically for an individual project without use of 'off the shelf' templates or pre-composed artwork.
Founder
Mark Dowsett is a graduate in design from Northumbria University and postgraduate of Central Saint Martin’s. He has a breadth of knowledge and experience encompassing furniture, graphic, digital and interactive design. Working for interactive agencies, he gained extensive knowledge designing exciting interactive solutions and digital experiences that educate, promote and inspire. Throughout his career he has designed creative solutions for a range of clients including Cadbury Schweppes, Procter & Gamble (Pantene, Max Factor, Olay), English Heritage, BT, Firetrap, WilkinsonEyre Architects, Colchester Institute and Oxford University. Mark's long held ambition to set up his own studio was realised in 2009 when he founded Stranger. Focusing on strong and transparent communication with his clients in order to deliver excellent quality integrated design solutions.

We work hard to develop and retain relationships with a range of clients across different sectors; from individuals and brands, to education, institutions and museums. Just starting out or more established, you’ll enjoy working with us!

Environment
At Stranger we are concerned about the environment in the way we operate. We use digital formats and print double-sided when possible and recycle anything we can. We cycle to and from work and use our bikes or public transport to visit you.
