Digital & Interactive

Digital & Interactive

Creating a successful digital experience requires a clear understanding of user behaviour, complemented by an instinctive and creative approach to functional solutions. We appreciate that at this stage the terminology gets quite techy and may be unfamiliar to you. With this in mind we will include you in the process at every stage, explaining what terms mean in easily understandable ways and highlight the value and reason for them.

1. User Experience

Stranger will work with you to find out how your online presence will relate to and inform offline communications, to enable you to get the best value from your investment. The user, or audience, is at the heart of online success. Great websites require an in-depth understanding of how people react and respond online, how they use a website, how their lives (business or personal) can be simplified and how they can be supported and informed. The fundamentals of design and architecture for digital environments (Information Architecture) are central to defining the user experience throughout our digital process. Through the use of sitemaps and wireframes we ensure the final site structure is intuitive and easy to use.

2. Creative

Once your User Experience is defined we will then set about integrating your visual identity to develop your online branding. We’ll use the sitemaps and wireframes as the blueprints to build in the key elements of your identity, to create innovative and distinctive interface designs. Starting with the key pages we will develop the design to ensure it works successfully across each page at each level. We will create content and graphical assets where we feel they are needed. We will suggest and explore the tone of voice for imagery to populate the site and source these for you if required. The result of this exciting iterative creative process is a strong and distinctive online presence unique to the values and attributes of your brand.

3. Delivery

The delivery stage takes the creative approach for the user interface and brings it to life. This includes a variety of processes depending on the task in hand, such as; Front end interface development (XHTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, XML), Back-end and CMS development, Flash development and video optimisation, Integration & testing, Accessibility, Site usage analysis, Search engine optimisation (SEO), Hosting and infrastructure recommendations. With any digital project it is highly recommended that user testing is included at intervals as an integral part of any site delivery.
