The Global Urbanist Website

Stranger was given the exciting opportunity to redesign the website for The Global Urbanist. The Global Urbanist is a news portal reviewing urban affairs and urban management issues in cities throughout the developed and developing world. It connects to a professional audience of urban and regional planners and policymakers, civil society leaders, and scholars of urban environments and their communities.

The creative challenge was to overhaul the site with key requirements being: Dvelop the interactivity to give the reader a more immersive and intuitive experience. Elevate and strengthen online presence to increase public profile and perception of the magazine and its content. Create a new visual language should reflect the clarity and sophisticated tone of voice of the content. Provide a platform to encourage and support discussion and communication between its readers and increase and broaden the magazine’s readership
